Proposed Railroad Ave Hotel now has a Name... Face

DEVELOPMENT - A long-anticipated hotel development proposed for the southwest corner of the intersection of Gaines and Railroad now has a name: Hampton Inn & Suites. 

UrbanTallahassee has recently received records showing developer, Mountain Shore Properties, has received approvals from growth management to proceed with construction of a 83,860 SF hotel containing 124-guest suites. A development that will rise 6-floors above Railroad Avenue.  The development will also include 1,000 SF of retail space. 

According to Mountain Shore Properties, "The hotel will be located in a premium location within walking distance of downtown Tallahassee's Capitol district, Collegetown/Florida State University/Doak Campbell Stadium, and numerous restaurants and shops...Once built, the hotel will be one of the best located in all of Tallahassee."

The development is expected to commence in the fall of 2016 and be completed by 2018.

Mountain Shore Properties is a real estate development company based out of Fayetteville, West Virginia. The Mountain Shore Properties team has led the successful development of hotels, single- and multi-tenant office buildings, mixed-use apartment/retail buildings, and single-family homes in 20 cities across 7 different states with the aggregate market value of $200 million.
