Bike Sharing may be coming soon to Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE - Scrubbing through some local job opportunities you may come across a job opportunity for a Regional Manager of the Zagster, North Florida Division. Perhaps this is because the company is looking to bring its Bike Sharing program to Capital City's market. And that is not the only job advertised.

The company is also looking for Bike Rebalancers to keep its future Tallahassee fleet running smooth.

Zagster operates more than 200 bike sharing programs across 35 states and is the fastest-growing bike-share provider in North America, with industry-leading technology and an innovative model, our mission is to make the bike the most loved form of transportation. They aim to transform the way cities work, and make tangible improvements to the sustainability, health, and quality of life for people everywhere.

All told, Zagster now powers more bike sharing programs in more cities, states and towns than any other U.S. bike share provider. In the last quarter alone, Zagster launched more than a dozen new programs, including Winston-Salem (N.C.), Penn State University and Rochester, N.Y.

It remains to be discovered where the Zagster Bike Share stations will be placed, or when the Company will even launch local operations but rumors  are floating that they will place bikes at Cascades Park and Railroad Square.

We will update this story as more details become available.

This is actually a great service and provides a good transportation option for out of towners and students that don't want to have a car and also don't want to walk everywhere.

I think in the Chattanooga thread bike share services was listed as one of the functions that makes cities like Chattanooga a more desirable location that Tally in terms of visiting and working.
