Description: The proposed project is located on 1.33 acres at the northeast corner of South Calhoun Street and East Jefferson Street. The project is the construction of a 19-story, 575,840 square foot mixed-use building. Uses within the building will include a 260 room hotel, 33 residential condominiums, 57,561 square feet of office and four restaurants. The applicant is requesting four deviations to the development standards. 1. A deviation from the 12-story maximum building height to 19 stories on the South Gadsden Street elevation. 2. A deviation to reduce the ten-foot sidewalk width requirement on South Gadsden Street to 9.75 feet. 3. A deviation to eliminate the liner building requirement. 4. A deviation to allow the recycle container to be located in the first layer. The property is zoned CC (Central Core) and is located within the MMTD (Multi-Modal Transportation District), Downtown Overlay.
Yeah I remember this. Never 100% believed it was true until now. Tallahassee was too out of place for that brand based on where their current locations were. But who knows what they're trying to do in terms of expansion.
